Quality Products & Global Reach

Founded in 1936, Paturel has long been a prominent Canadian seafood company. With locations in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, Paturel’s main facility is on the North Atlantic Coast. Closely situated between New Brunswick, Canada and Maine, USA, Paturel is an exporter and processor of lobster to markets worldwide.

Paturel's strong relationships with the fishermen, close proximity to the resource and vast holding capabilities enable year-round supply of quality product. The company has an extensive procurement network of buying stations, which are strategically located throughout the Atlantic Provinces and the state of Maine.

The quality and safety of Paturel's products, whether live lobsters or processed, are ensured through the implementation of a facility specific "Quality Management Program" (QMP). The QMP uses the principles of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), an internationally recognized system for ensuring safe seafood production. The QMP also adheres to strict quality standards established under the Canadian Fish Inspection Regulations, which are federally mandated by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). Through active memorandum of understanding (MOU’s), the Canadian QMP has facilitated the export of Canadian seafood products around the world.
