Deer Island, New Brunswick, Canada

North Atlantic Coast & Bay Of Fundy

The East Coast live lobster and fresh seafood facility is located on 204 acres of land on Deer Island, New Brunswick, Canada. Deer Island is nestled in the purest waters of the north Atlantic coast and Bay of Fundy, which is ideally situated between New Brunswick, Canada and Maine, USA.

Located in the heart of one of the world’s best fishing grounds, the waters surrounding Deer Island are fed daily by the powerful Bay of Fundy tides, made famous for its rich and diverse ecosystem.

East Coast moved their processing plant to the 204-acre Northern Harbour site on Deer Island to gain the space necessary for improved product traceability and to gain access to pristine coastal waters for lobster pounding and processing.

Raising Industry Standards

The spectacular location has created the opportunity for East Coast Seafood to lead the lobster industry regionally and worldwide in raising industry standards for corporate environmental and social responsibility.

The East Coast Seafood operational team runs the facility using highly efficient processes, designed specifically to reduce the amount of time and handling so that the fresh-caught quality of each individual live lobster is always maintained. Today, our facility can pack 30,000 lbs. of live lobster in under two hours, allowing us to meet customers' distribution needs in a timely and cost-effective manner.
